CJ Mark Committee

Chairman: CODA Representative Director Takero Goto

The CJ Mark Committee works to create an environment and improve infrastructure for distributing legitimate versions. Specifically, it conducts joint enforcement (right exercise) based on member companies’ copyrights and CODA’s collective trademark (CJ Mark) rights concerning piracy issues overseas, particularly in China, Korea, and other Asian countries. Twice a year, we confirm the latest information on the past use of the CJ Mark with each member company and provide it to Hong Kong Customs for crackdown purposes.

Legal System Committee

Under the chairmanship of the committee chair, the Legal System Committee discusses copyright-related topics in Japan and abroad, as well as new trends and initiatives in the content industry, as the theme of each meeting. The purposes of the meetings are networking with content holders and providing and sharing information on critical issues.

Enforcement Committee

The purpose of this committee is to contribute to the resolution of various overseas problems in the Japanese content industry as a whole by exchanging and sharing information on “anti-piracy projects” and “legitimate distribution-related projects” that each content-related industry association is engaged in independently.
